Lisa Puccetti, Assistant Principal of Southern High School Magnet Career Center in Jefferson County, has been named Kentucky's Assistant Principal of the year by KASSP. Puccetti received her Bachelors and Masters Degrees from the University of Louisville and Rank I certification from Indiana University Southeast. She taught school at Assumption High School, served as Dean at Eastern High School and as Assistant Principal at Southern since 2004.

The National Assistant Principal of the Year program is sponsored by NASSP and Virco, and applauds secondary assistant principals in their dedication and success in school leadership, curriculum and personalization. As the Kentucky Assistant Principal of the Year, Lisa will now be considered for the national award, which includes a $5,000 grant. In addition she will attend a forum and awards banquet in Washington, D.C. where she will have the opportunity to share best practice and expertise with the other state winners.
