Welcome to the Kentucky Association of Secondary School Principals webpage.  Since 1957, the KASSP has served the professional needs of our state’s secondary school principals and assistant principals.  Being the only association that speaks on behalf of building principals, KASSP strives to provide timely and meaningful professional development and communication regarding the most pressing issues facing building level administrators.  Our fall and summer conferences provide professional growth opportunities for building administrators over a variety of topics ranging from educational assessment to school safety.  Our annual assistant principals’ conference gives the assistant principal a unique opportunity to network with other practitioners in the state and to receive ongoing professional development in areas most directly connected to their frame of reference.  Our partnership with NASSP (The National Association of Secondary School Principals) gives members access to excellent educational research, publications, and conference opportunities on the national level.   I urge all principals and assistant principals in the commonwealth to become active members of the KASSP and to join the NASSP as well.  It is an honor to serve as this year’s President of KASSP.  Please let us know if we can be of any service to you in your role as a school leader.
